Description

Let’s Talk About Rape is a visual art project initiated and directed by photographer Jadwiga Bronte to challenge societal taboos surrounding sexual violence. By combining self-portraiture and testimonies, the project empowers survivors by giving them agency over their own narratives while fostering public empathy and understanding.

More than just an art project, Let’s Talk About Rape is a powerful tool for advocacy and healing. Through storytelling, photography, and activism, it creates a space where survivors can reclaim their voices, inspire change, and break the cycle of silence. The project aims to build a more compassionate and inclusive society—one where survivors of sexual violence are seen, heard, and supported.

SEMA members from Guatemala, Colombia, Kenya, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Kosovo have participated in this project, contributing their powerful stories to this global movement.
